About
Hi, I’m Kurumi, the founder of Paper Bridge Mail Club.
My entire life, I’ve always said that Japan is one of those places you have to experience for yourself. There’s something about it that stays with you long after you’ve returned home.
I created Paper Bridge because I’ve always felt like there is a side of Japan that people often miss.
Japan is known for its bright cities, futuristic lifestyle, vending machines, anime, and convenience stores. While all of that is part of it, there is also another side that has always stayed with me.
The quiet streets. The small details. The seasons. The feeling of finding something beautiful in an ordinary moment.
As someone who is half Japanese and half Australian, I grew up connected to both cultures. Paper Bridge is my way of bringing them together and sharing them with people around the world, one letter at a time.
Each month has a theme inspired by what is happening in Japan and Australia. Inside each envelope, you’ll find a mix of pieces created by me, along with selected items sourced from Japan, so the experience feels thoughtful, personal, and real.
More than anything, I want Paper Bridge to feel like opening mail from a friend, while also giving you a small cultural experience from Japan and Australia, delivered to your letterbox.
